CRIT 6 REFLECTION + 2 SPRING BREAK PROJECTS due 4/2/13
This activity definitely will help me with my creative process and ideas. I've gained new ideas regarding color, word size, word choice and perspective, regarding my concentration's theme. I will take these comments, and improve my work as well as keep them in mind for future works I will complete over spring break. I actually can't wait to get started because this crit's comments (on my work and others) has inspired me.
ReplyDeletethis activity was useful in many ways, it was very nice to hear from peers to see what they think. How ever it felt a little forced at times and maybe if everyone didn't have to respond to every piece but only the ones that they really liked or had a useful idea that someone else hadn't already shared. This would add to the experience and help us all improve as artists.
ReplyDeleteThis critique helped me better understand the importance of contrast, shading, and separation of the subject matter from plain backgrounds in my pieces. Through my peers' comments and ideas, I learned to be more aware of these aspects for my future works in my concentration. I also learned to be more conscious of the placement of the subject matter as well. I will improve my future pieces by being aware of this by using the rule of thirds and other design elements.
ReplyDeleteThe critique was good, I think the painting could use a little bit more texture but the whole point of it is to make it dreamy. Theyre figments of my memory that I put to paper and its supposed to look like its fading out and in. I'll probably make the message more clear in future works.
ReplyDeleteI really liked doing the critique this way because we got to give and get feed back from our fellow class mates. I would of like to maybe next time to have the art work in the room that we do the critique in. Also i liked doing it in the class room better. My class mates input was very helpful. A lot of people liked the 3D effect of my work and I'm going to continue to work with that. I'm also going to do photos of things other then just the skyline.
ReplyDeleteThis was a great way to do a critique because everyone has the opportunity to comment on our piece, unlike the other format which allows only a few people to write comments, and when we present our work in front of the class it's harder to see and people are less willing to speak up. I feel good about the feedback i recieved.
